What follows are the rules and schedule related to rainouts or other makeup games.  These rules only apply to "Postponed Games", which are regular season games in the 8YO - Major leagues that are:

(1) not played due to rain, cold, lightning, etc; or

(2) started and tied when time expires or rain comes, or (3) started and postponed prior to being complete (e.g., due to weather). 

 Any game that is complete (i.e., the losing team has completed its at-bat in the 4th inning) is not rescheduled or completed if it cannot be finished in its original date and time.  The team winning when it is called is declared the winner. 

All Postponed Games will have one rescheduled date.  You can find that date by referring to the charts below.  Find the game number of the Postponed Game in the Master Game List.  Next, find that same game number in the Rainout / Makeup Schedule.  The date and time assigned to that game is the only available time for the Postponed Game to be played or completed.  If one of the teams fails to show up at the rescheduled time, that team forfeits.  If the rescheduled date is rained out (or otherwise unplayable), then: (1) If the original game was continued because it was tied, then the game ends in a tie; or (2) If the original game was never started or postponed before being complete, then it is "NG", which means it is a no-game that does not count as a game played. 

These rules do not apply to games in the 7YO league since there are no makeups or rescheduled games in the 7YO league.  Rainouts are recorded as NG.  Games that end in a tie in the 7YO league go into the record books as ties.

8YO's. You must notify Larry Burda larryburda@netzero.net  and Glenn Yaeger glennyaeger@comcast.net  if the game is not going to be played. 

Unfortunately, due to lack of field space and time this may result in teams having double headers.  There is really nothing we can do about it.
